Gemini Spark now integrates with Chrome

Google has announced that Gemini Spark now integrates with Chrome, giving the Gemini app a deeper way to complete multi-step tasks on the open web. In a July 30, 2026 Keyword post, product leaders Adam Coimbra and Charmaine Dsilva said Google is expanding Gemini Spark to more people globally while adding a new capability designed for complex web errands—not just one-off searches.

The headline feature is Chrome auto browse. With the user’s permission, Spark can work inside Chrome using logged-in accounts and saved passwords to carry out tedious flows that normally require many tabs and clicks. Google’s examples include scheduling apartment viewings for listings you have already saved, or researching flight options and beginning the booking process. Sensitive steps such as payments stay under human control: Spark is designed to hand those moments back to you rather than acting alone.

Security is part of the pitch. Google says the Chrome integration is built with protections against threats like prompt injection, and that the assistant keeps you in the loop when actions become high-stakes. Chrome auto browse is initially rolling out in the United States, with plans to expand to additional regions later.

Access is also widening. Google is rolling out Gemini Spark for Google AI Pro subscribers in over 160 additional countries, so more people can use Spark to automate everyday tasks. That geographic expansion matters as much as the product feature: agentic browsing is more useful when it is available where users actually live and work.
