The Google Home Speaker gets a June release date from one retailer, with Best Buy Canada listing June 25, 2026 as the launch day for Google's long-awaited Gemini-powered smart speaker. First teased at Made by Google 2025 and detailed further last October, the device follows the Pixel 10a and Fitbit Air as the next major hardware rollout from Google — though it misses the original spring 2026 window by just a few days.

While the June 25 date appears on Best Buy Canada's product page, the US Best Buy site and Google Store have not yet posted matching timelines. Industry observers suggest the hardware is essentially complete; software readiness is the more likely bottleneck, with Gemini for Home still confined to Google's Early Access program. Since March, Google has pushed preview updates to existing Nest speakers and displays three to four times per month, signaling active work on the AI experience ahead of launch.

The Google Home Speaker will cost $99.99 and ship in four color options: Berry, Hazel, Jade, and Porcelain. Its 360-degree fabric design wraps around the body, leaving a base ring of status lights and a microphone mute switch exposed. Buyers can pair two units with a Google TV Streamer for a home theater setup, or group them with existing Nest speakers for stereo and multi-room audio.
